To continue our study of measurement, the class investigated perimeter yesterday. They learned that perimeter is the measurement around the outside edge of a shape. They used different measurement tools such as rulers, meter sticks, yard sticks and measuring tapes to measure the perimeters of different shapes taped around the room. The students began to realize some measuring tools work better for smaller shapes and others for larger shapes!
