Here are some photos from our last week together as a second grade class. The students played math games and shared their narrative writing with classmates during a publishing party!

Make a Wish Surprise! Brady L's Blog Post

The Make a Wish Foundation came in and surprised Dominic last Friday. Leo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came in with a box of pizza and it said ''Dominics going to Disney!''And then we had party! Congratulations Dominic!

Tie Dye!

On Monday, June 13th (the day before the last day of school), Mrs. Christie’s 2nd grade class would like to tie dye as a fun end-of-year activity! I already have the tie dye kit, but if you could send your child in with something white to dye, that would be great! It could be anything from socks, to a pillow case, to an old white shirt. Don’t feel like you have to purchase something new, I have an old white shirt with a logo on it that I am going to dye for myself! I will bring home the items to wash that night so the students may wear them on our last day of 2nd grade together!

Geometry

In math we have been learning about geometry! The students learned to play a game where they roll a dice to collect a certain amount of shapes. They can combine and build shapes to trade for larger ones until they are able to fill up their whole board with hexagons! The students are having a great time with it!
