Mapping our Community - By Malia and Julia

Our class has been learning about maps in STEM.
Some maps are how to get from your house to school or
a birds eye view of the school.
We had to add much more colors than we thought.

Library Dragon - Reader's Theater

Some of our students were a part of the latest Enrichment Reader's Theater Program:
The Library Dragon.

These students worked extremely hard, practicing both in and out of school, to put on their performance and their hard work really showed!

Congratulations to our wonderful actors!

Here are some photos of the Library Dragon Production...

Tooth Tutor

Last week, our school's Tooth Tutor came into class to teach the students about brushing and healthy habits for their teeth. The student's favorite part of the presentation had to be when they got to dye their teeth purple, then brush to see how good of a job they were doing!

Check out these purple SMILES πŸ˜€

Biography Posters

The second grade students have been hard at work learning about different non-fiction text features! This knowledge supported the students as they navigated and researched books and websites about their chosen individuals. Our class took their research and turned it into an informational paragraph about their individual, along with a biography poster!

When we returned from break, the students had a publishing party to celebrate and honor their hard work! They really enjoyed hearing and learning more about other individuals their classmates had chosen. Here are a few photos of our celebration!

Excellent Work 2nd Graders!
