In the STEM lab our class was working on making houses and putting stuff around them to protect them. We used rocks, popsiclesticks and sponges. Mrs. Christie took before and after pictures you can see them underneath.
On Friday, our class had a fabulous field trip to the Russell Green Natural Area off of 104-A right here in Georgia, VT. The students completed an erosion scavenger hunt in partners while we hiked the trail. We enjoyed seeing signs of animals, erosion and even SPRING! Ask your child what their favorite part of the hike was! :)
Over the past couple of weeks, our class has been learning about letter writing. We decided to write book recommendations to our classmates in a letter format. The students did an excellent job hooking the reader's interest without giving away too much of the story. We created a class favorites basket so everyone is able to check out the variety of books and read them if they are interested. The class had a great time sharing the letters with their classmate's before we put them in their official envelopes!
