STEM Irrigation system

In the STEM lab, the students have been learning about different types of erosion and how they can use irrigation systems to prevent soil erosion in crops and farmlands. They first made their own irrigation systems, tested, and improved them. Then, the second grade as a class made a "life size" version and tested it outside on Friday. It was a success and covered a lot of area with water!

Honeycomb Fraction Game

This afternoon, the students played the honeycomb fraction game with pattern blocks to learn more about fractions and parts of a whole after reading the book Apple Fractions by Jerry Pallotta. 

It was a lot of fun!

Suessical the Musical!

The students did such an excellent job with their performance of Seussical the Musical today. They practiced extremely hard with Mrs. Sweeney and it was quite a treat to see them all singing together!
