Hour of Code
This week, students participated in the Hour of Code. From December 8th - 14th, 2014, there is a huge effort for students across the world to be introduced to computer coding. During computer lab here at Georgia, the students played coding games where they learned to give the computer characters commands! They had a lot of fun!

Reading Workshop
Today during reading workshop, the students listened to Ms. Toof read a descriptive and funny poem about different creatures. The students drew the picture that they visualized in their minds and then afterward, we all got to see what the illustrator sketched in the book! It was a really fun activity π

Hand Pollinators in the STEM lab
Today in the STEM lab the students revised their original design of a hand pollinator for one of three different types of flowers. The goal was for their pollinator to successfully pick up and drop off pollen from inside of a model flower. The students used what they learned from their original design and improved upon it.
